There is nothing like cruising on a yacht in Africa, and yachts are increasing becoming a prized possession amongst the must haves. For example, a 65 Fairlane squadron yacht worth 1.721 million Euros was recently purchased from South Africa and taken to Angola.
Yachts are designed for various reasons but many of the African investors are interested in yachts that are built for pleasure sailing rather than competitive sports, which seems to be an obvious choice for the high-end African population.
Owning a yacht must be one of the ultimate luxuries in Africa, and having the opportunity to cruise in a yacht furnished with fine craftsmanship and hand-worked cabinetry, must be accompanied with Krug or Cristal champagne or an elegant wine such as Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes, with oysters and ‘of course’ great company such as the Your Magazine team!
Those amongst this group can stay up to date on all things luxury boats at the Cannes Boat Show, held in the two French Riviera sites the ‘Vieux Port’ and ‘Port Pierre Canto’. The boat show is held every year and offers yacht lovers the opportunity to preview some of the finest yachts afloat.
