Fashion guru Priscilla Adedeji had the opportunity to interview renowned fashion designer Maze Couture, on behalf of Your Magazine. This is just a snap shot from the interview; you will need to get a copy of Your Magazine to find out what else he had to say.
How did the Maze Couture look come about?
“I found something that will be more welcome for the world we live in. I wanted to create something that all nationalities could wear which was contemporary but with an ethnic feel to it and that brought the colours into it, and with my experience with working at Dior this inspiration by the British fashion designer John Galliano allowed me to develop and demonstrate my eponymous fashion line.”
Your look is very sophisticated but very simplistic. Tell me why.
“It is unique and very class; classy in the sense that it’s simple for fashion-conscious people. It’s for all ages but exudes class and most ladies like things that are classy. The designs for men are simple, but heads will turn in a good way. The label is based on being able to offer customers limited edition pieces, which generally do not conform to short-lived fashion trends, preferring to offer pieces which will remain classical, highlight the clients’ needs and, above all, fit the body as if the garments were made especially for the individual.”
