If you want to escape to one of the most amazing countries in Africa, and possibly the world, then look no further than Morocco or ‘Al mamlakah’ as it is known in Arabic.

Morocco has five star hotels in grand cities like Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier, Fes and Essaouria and easy transport links.

You will never get tired or bored in Casablanca as there is always something extraordinary and exciting to do with friends and family or as a couple enjoying a romantic getaway.

A must visit location in Casablanca is the Morocco Mall (Jennifer Lopez attended the official opening), which is the largest in the country with more than 300 stores, a theme park and great entertainment facilities, making this a shopping experience you simply need to undertake!

Essaouria should be your first choice for a relaxing, with beaches on the Atlantic coast you simply can’t go wrong. Romantic strolls and sightseeing are ideal things to do in Essaouria but it’s definitely not the place for aqua activities due to the strong winds and cold water. You should also take a trip to Fez, the country’s third largest city and one of the oldest imperial cities in Morocco. Dont forget the capital city Rabat which is very cosmopolitan or Marrakech for adventure.

FOOD AND RESTAURANTS

When it comes to restaurants in Morocco there are many to choose from. Moroccan cuisine is very diverse, with Arabic, Moorish and Mediterranean influences and the main dishes include couscous, pastilla (meat pie), tagine and harira, all usually served with bread.

Some of the best restaurants to try are: el-Bahia in Rabat; La Fibule in Casablanca; Al Fassia in Marrakech; Thami’s in Fez; and Elizir in Essaouria.

NIGHTLIFE

The nightlife in any city in Morocco can be the highlight of your travel experience if dancing the night away is your idea of a good time. Nightlife can be very lively in some places with a range of clubs and bars to choose from. Marrakech is known for its vibrant nightlife, so no wonder this city is known as ‘the sleepless city’.

Make sure you pack your camera if you haven’t got an iPhone in order to capture all your experiences during your visit to Morocco!
